About Gourmedia
Gourmedia is the OS for hospitality. It connects the tools and data of restaurants, cafés, hotels and shops to help them run better, know their guests and grow.
We believe software should take work off people’s plates, not give them more things to manage.
We want to understand the whole business, especially from the side of the person who visits it; from the moment someone discovers a place, explores what it offers and decides to go, until they live the experience and want to come back.
Each of those moments counts. Yet much of the information ends up scattered across tools that barely know each other.
We started by connecting those pieces. Today we’re building the intelligence that makes it possible to understand them, find opportunities and act on them.
We don’t want to be one more platform to manage.
We want Gourmedia to work while people sleep. So that when they wake up there are fewer things to solve and more opportunities to make the most of.
What Gourmedia does
Digital menu
We love paper menus. We’re not on a crusade against them.
Our digital menu adds another way to discover what a place offers. It connects to the point of sale, stays up to date, recommends products and shows what sparks guests’ interest.
Loyalty
Some people go back to the same place every week, and that place barely knows who they are.
We want to change that.
With Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes, points, perks and personalized communications, we help turn every visit into the start of the next one.
With no extra app to download.
Reservations
One place to manage bookings, tables, waitlists and events. It takes bookings from Google, websites and social media, without paying a fee for every cover.
Every booking is also a chance to get to know the people who visit a restaurant better, and to build a relationship that continues after the check.
Gourmedia IQ
This is how we picture the future of this industry.
A restaurant you can understand and manage by talking to it, the way you would with someone on your team.
Gourmedia is alive.
It keeps track of what’s going on, knows the business and understands what matters. It finds opportunities, proposes ideas and gets to work.
It knows when to act on its own, when to ask for approval and when it’s better not to interrupt.
We want it to work with a lot of autonomy and need very little attention.
Some of those capabilities are already available. Others are in development.
It’s not an idea for someday. It’s the Gourmedia we’re building.
What makes Gourmedia different
We look at the whole journey
There are excellent tools for managing what happens behind the bar, in the kitchen or in the inventory.
What interests us most is what happens on the other side. How someone discovers a place, chooses it, visits it and decides to come back.
Understanding that journey makes it possible to build better experiences and longer-lasting relationships.
One business, not five platforms
A restaurant is one business. Its tools should see it the same way.
In Gourmedia, the products share information and context. A booking can turn into a visit, a visit into a relationship and that relationship into new opportunities.
We connect with what already exists
We work with systems like Toteat, Fudo, Square, Justo, Oracle, ALOHA and Shopify, among others.
We don’t believe modernizing a business means replacing everything that already works.
We like to earn trust month after month
No lock-in contracts and no cancellation fees. Our reservation system doesn’t charge per-cover fees either.
We’d rather results be the reason to stay.
There are people behind the technology
We have 24/7 human support, and we stay with our clients from setup onward.
We know a problem in the middle of service can’t wait until Monday. And that not everything gets solved with a link to a help article.
Who uses Gourmedia
More than 600 restaurants, hotels and shops use Gourmedia.
From small businesses where one person does a bit of everything to operations with multiple locations, brands and teams.
We work with
- Independent restaurants and small restaurant groups.
- Restaurant groups with several locations or brands.
- Hotels, bars and food services.
- Cafés, breweries and eateries.
- Specialty shops, food brands and businesses that sell online.
- Stadiums and event venues.
Not everyone has the same problems.
That’s why we don’t believe in solutions that treat every business as if it were the same.
The team behind Gourmedia
We’re Tony and Martín.
Tony grew up surrounded by cooks, long meals at the table and a family where food always held an important place. Cooking was a love from childhood, and Tony ended up as the family’s official chef.
Martín spent a good part of childhood between the kitchens and dining rooms of Dad’s restaurants, in the south of Chile.
We met years later.
We came from different worlds, but we shared two things. A huge love for food and hospitality, and an urge, rather hard to hide, to build something of our own.
When the pandemic hit, we saw up close how friends and acquaintances in the industry were trying to keep their businesses afloat.
We felt we could do something to help.
That’s how Gourmedia was born.
We started with a digital menu. Then came new clients, new needs and lots of ideas that weren’t in the original plan.
With each product we got to know the industry better and discovered how much room there was to do things differently.
Tony leads growth, commercial relationships and the bond with our clients. Martín focuses on product, technology and imagining how things should work before it’s possible to build them.
Sometimes that last part takes a little longer than Martín would like to admit.
We’re joined by a small team with an enormous amount of talent in engineering, data science, product, operations and customer care. Curious, committed people with little interest in doing things halfway.
We like working close to restaurants. Many of our best ideas weren’t born in a meeting, but from listening to someone tell us how their business works.
We’re very clear about what we want to build.
Technology that can understand how a hospitality business works, get involved in its day-to-day and help it grow with less and less intervention.
It’s not a small idea.
And we don’t want it to be.
How Gourmedia works
First, we understand
Everything starts with a conversation. We want to get to know each business, the tools it uses and the things it would like to solve.
First understand. Then propose.
We connect the pieces
We set up the products each business needs and integrate them with the tools it already uses.
We support the implementation, with timelines that depend on the complexity of each operation.
We stay close
We keep in touch over WhatsApp, email and video calls, and we have 24/7 human support.
Behind the product there are people who know the industry and are there when you need them.
We work so you need us less
This is probably our favorite part.
We want Gourmedia, over time, to know each business well enough to anticipate, find opportunities and handle tasks without waiting for instructions on everything.
If something needs attention, it says so.
And if not, it simply does its job.
The point isn’t learning to manage another platform.
It’s having one less thing to manage.

Frequently asked questions
What is Gourmedia?
Gourmedia is the OS for hospitality, an operating system for restaurants, cafés, hotels and shops. It connects tools, products and data to help hospitality businesses run better, know their guests and grow.
It’s evolving into an intelligent system able to understand each operation, propose decisions and carry out tasks autonomously.
How is it different from a POS?
A POS mainly takes care of sales and operations. Gourmedia connects to those systems to add information about the guest experience, reservations, menus and loyalty.
The idea is to connect what happens inside the business with the people who visit it.
Do I need to replace my current systems?
No. Gourmedia integrates with different points of sale and existing tools, including Toteat, Fudo, Square, Justo, Oracle and ALOHA. We can check compatibility with each operation.
Does Gourmedia replace the printed menu?
No. The digital menu can live perfectly well alongside paper and other formats. Each business decides how it wants to present what it offers.
Can I use Gourmedia from ChatGPT, Claude or WhatsApp?
Yes. Gourmedia can already be used from ChatGPT and Claude, and WhatsApp is available as an add-on.
You can talk to your business information from tools you already know, without always depending on a dashboard.
Can Gourmedia do things on its own?
Yes, and more and more. Gourmedia IQ is a team of agents that work with the business’s data. They spot opportunities and propose concrete changes, each with its evidence and what it’s expected to add. You can also ask them for a goal in a conversation, like “I want to fill Tuesday lunches”, and they put together a plan to get there.
For now, no change is applied without approval, and each one is measured to see whether it worked. Each business decides what can be changed and what can’t.
Do I have to sign up for every product?
No. You can start with the products that make the most sense for each business and add others as you need them.
That said, the products share what they know. The more they’re used together, the smarter the business’s day-to-day becomes.
Are there lock-in contracts?
No. Plans are monthly and can be canceled with no early termination fees.
Who owns the data?
The data belongs to each business. Its information can be exported or deleted under the applicable terms.
How can I get started?
Book a conversation with our team. We’d love to get to know the business and discover together where we can add the most value.
